MUSIC NIGHTS, 07.06.2025 - 08.06.2025
The Music Nights Lenk on 7. and June 8, 2025 promise unforgettable concert moments at the Hotel Wildstrubel and Hangar The Club. On Saturday, Side Kick and The Hero and Vagante will provide rocking sounds, while on Sunday Furaha Juice, Sanaë Larina and James Gray will delight with their unique sounds. There are also musical highlights for families: John Hänni will be playing at Lenkerseeli on Saturday and Wolfgang Schönenberger will be performing at the Hotel Wildstrubel on Sunday. Admission is included in the ÖV-Hotel deal, a voluntary collection will be taken.
From June 20 to 22, 2025, Lenk and St. Stephan will be the stage for the 55th Bernese Cantonal Yodelling Festival. Against the impressive backdrop of the Wildstrubel and Albristhorn, around 3,000 yodelers, alphorn and brass players and flag-wavers come together to celebrate traditional customs. Over 30,000 visitors can look forward to a convivial weekend full of music, tradition and living Swiss culture. A highlight is the big parade on Sunday.
When the music accompanies the Simmen Falls and the midsummer light flickers over the meadows, it’s time again for the Midsummer Festival! On 27. and 28 June 2025, Lenk will be transformed into a festival center where Nicole Bernegger, Basement Saints, Shem Thomas, Opération Zéro, Kolotoč, Debby and many more will provide musical highlights. A weekend full of music, enjoyment and festival magic awaits you!
The world’s best beach volleyball action returns to the Swiss Alps with the Swatch Beach Pro Gstaad 2025! Against the fantastic backdrop of Gstaad, 16 top athletes compete in this prestigious tournament. Fans can look forward to autograph sessions with the stars of the Swatch Proteam and a legendary neon party at sunset. Surprise gifts and a unique sporting experience make this event an absolute summer highlight!
The Hangar Rockin’ Festival No. 23 will take place on 4. and July 5, 2025 will once again bring the European rock’n’roll, custom and hot rod scene to the St. Stephan military airfield. This is where fans of classic cars, bikes and hot rods meet, while V8 engines roar and live bands provide a rousing soundtrack. Highlights include the 1/8 Mile Race, the Dragster Show, a flea market, the large custom car parking lot and numerous food and merchandise stands. Camping is free of charge and a shuttle bus service ensures a comfortable journey.
The EFG Swiss Open Gstaad will once again bring world-class tennis to the Bernese Oberland from July 12 to 20, 2025. Since the first event in 1915, numerous tennis legends such as Stefan Edberg, Ilie Nastase, Boris Becker, Yannick Noah and Roger Federer have triumphed on the clay court in Gstaad. With five titles, Australian Roy Emerson holds the record for the tournament, which takes place today in the heart of the village.
The 31st Traditional Jazz Workshop Lenk will take place from July 13 to 19, 2025 and offers practice-oriented intensive courses for traditional jazz. Under the guidance of renowned jazz musicians, the participants receive individual lessons, band training and seminars, which are crowned by a final concert by the workshop bands. In addition to instrumental lessons, the range of courses also includes electives such as harmony, ear training, rhythm and improvisation. The Lenk Jazz Festival takes place at the same time as the workshop, and its concerts can be attended at a reduced price.
The Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy once again invites you to top-class classical music concerts from July 18 to September 6, 2025. Under this year’s motto “Change – Humility – Transformation – Migration”, the festival combines musical excellence with profound contemporary themes. World stars such as Fazıl Say, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Cecilia Bartoli, Daniil Trifonov, The King’s Singers and many other artists create an inspiring program of orchestral concerts, chamber music, choral works and innovative formats. With concert series such as “Music for the Planet” and the Gstaad Conducting Academy, the festival is also a platform for musical sustainability and the promotion of young talent.
At the Gospel Workshop Lenk from July 20 to 25, 2025, everything revolves around the passion for gospel music. Two intensive choir rehearsals take place every day, culminating in a public concert in Lenk Reformed Church. The impressive natural backdrop of the Simmental not only provides inspiration and energy for rehearsals, but also space for relaxation and exciting hikes. The workshop is organized by the tried-and-tested Dirk Raufeisen Singers management team, which guarantees participants an unforgettable musical experience.
The Stockhorn Half Marathon on July 26, 2025 is the ultimate running experience in the Simmental! The challenging route covers 21.1 kilometers from Oberwil im Simmental (837 m above sea level) to the majestic Stockhorn (2190 m above sea level). With an altitude difference of 1353 meters, the run demands both fitness and stamina – but rewards you with breathtaking views of the mountains.
The Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad is one of the outstanding international polo tournaments and will take place at the Saanen airfield from August 21 to 24, 2025. This prestigious tournament inspires every year with world-class players, intense matches and hard-fought world ranking points. The event begins with the qualifying matches on Thursday, followed by the polo parade through Gstaad on Friday, the semi-finals and Polo Night on Saturday and the grand final on Sunday.
From September 5 to 7, 2025, the Simmental Festival will transform Lenk into a stronghold of music, enjoyment and conviviality! For three days, live bands, DJs and regional folk music ensure the best atmosphere. In addition to the musical program, there are the finest local specialties, freshly brewed Simmental beer and sociable encounters. The festival stage is located at the TEC parking lot, while Sunday ends at the Simmentaler Braumanufaktur with a traditional Stubete, Weisswurst and guided tours. A festival for music lovers, beer fans and everyone who wants to celebrate the Simmental!
The Country Night Gstaad brings 12. and September 13, 2025 will once again bring first-class country music to the Swiss Alps under the motto “Total Country!“. Top international acts such as Scotty McCreery, Old Crow Medicine Show, Hailey Whitters and Florian Fox will take to the stage and rock the festival tent with traditional country music. In addition to the concerts, visitors can look forward to a Western experience with food stands, bars, line dancing, trick roping shows and a big after-party with live music. A must for all country fans!
The Iffiglauf & Kids-Run at Lenk offers a thrilling running experience for young and old on September 21, 2025! In the morning, mountain runners compete on the challenging 9.3 km route with an altitude difference of 550 meters along the Iffig Falls to Iffigenalp. In the afternoon, the youngest participants take part in the Kids Run in various age categories on a circuit around the Lenk school building. The best runners are celebrated at the ranking ceremony.
Experience real Swiss tradition at the Älplerfest! On Saturday, festively decorated cows parade through the village, accompanied by traditional music and a cheerful atmosphere. Discover regional specialties and handmade products at the Buremärit. The highlight of the day is the election of the most beautiful cow, in which you can help decide. A festival for the whole family that celebrates alpine culture in all its facets.
